8/24/2023 0 Comments Qnap qfinder not finding nas 2017I have checked windows defender firewall, firewall is on, and NETWORK DISCOVERY - private, is Checked. I tried deleting it, restart pc, then after restart when I want to access my mounted share drive, windows asks for username password, after re-entering I can go the share drive fine, however qnap icon still does not appear at ‘network’ like how it should be. I have checked credential manager, yes it have an entry there for my NAS. Hello Mouseke, If you have access to the NAS Admin Web UI by Web browser, there is not much you need QNAP Finder for in my point of view. Pre-requirement on the NAS is the bcclient process dealing with this kind of traffic. Some routers might block broadcast traffic between LAN and WLAN, with unluckily configured switches sometimes even on the LAN. Nas still does not appear.ĭo i really need to download qfinder? I can access the nas through command prompt, start \\qnap - no problem. by schumaku Mon 9:23 pm As long as the NAS is in the same broadcast domain, Qfinder should be able to discover the NAS. Do I have to reset the NAS to make it show I have tons of media on it that I don't want to lose. I see the IP for the NAS in my routers' device list, but if I type the IP into the browser, nothing loads. I believe I have the NAS setup to receive an IP from the router. I have rebooted windows pc, nas, and router. With the new configuration, QFinder is unable to find the NAS on my network. Or it could even be a misconfiguration on your NAS, so a soft reset 1 beep may do the trick? If you only hear a short beep, there may be a firmware damage and you'll need to contact the distributor. If yes, you can try the initialization process you wrote in the previous post. If still not working, maybe check your firewall that you did not accidentally block. Re: QFinder does not find QNAP TS-209 Pls check if you hear a short beep and then a long beep after turning on the NAS. Once done, go qfinder explorer and check again. check if you have an entry there for your NAS. If not, then go start and type credential manager. If yes, what happens when you try open explorer via qfinder. How do I make the qnap icon at network appear again?ĭid you try rebooting your qnap, your router and your pc? usually this may sometimes solve the problem. ![]() ![]() I can access the NAS through cmd, start \\qnap. Enable remote Wake-on-LAN Conveniently wake up your NAS from a low-power state or sleep mode remotely via the local network. No LAN light for 20 seconds and then lights up for 5 seconds. If the NAS has been configured to use DHCP, you can use QNAP Qfinder Pro to check the IP address of the NAS. After updating my windows 10 to 1809, suddenly QNAP NAS icon does not appear at 'Network'. Or if using QNAP Qfinder Pro, simply double click on the NAS to open the login page.
